What is 25PIXELS.NET?

25PIXELS.NET is a web experiment that aims at cataloging all the images of 5x5 pixels of resolution, called ICONS.

With just 25 pixels 33,554,432 different images can be created (2 power 25 or 2^25).
But... How many of these images represent something?

Creating a program that automatically generates all these images is not complicated, but those millions of ICONS would be a mess and should be interpreted.

Contribute designing your own icon with 25 pixels.
Name it, include keywords (so that other people can find, comment and vote for it) and leave your comment.

You can create your icons using the editor that is on the top of this page. Activate cells in the empty table to create your icon.
You don't need to register. Sign your creations with your email and you will be given the authorship immediately.

How many ICONS can we classify? How many repeated ICONS will be published? Who will be able to find the most significant new icons? How many pixels will we use?...
